I have an old solenoid part #SAW 4201.....will your part # 919294 replace this old solenoid?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
We do not have a way to cross what you have. But if you are 12 volt, you can certainly use this one.

does jason have a video on how to mount and wire this solenoid in his wiring vidceo , i cant find one

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
There should be a video that discusses it. If not, email him directly at jason@kaiserwillys.com

Mike -- I asked this question a couple weeks ago, maybe still in 'moderation' -- the starter solenoid you list for a 1960 Willys Wagon with a 226 ci engine -- do you have the technical spec's on this, (amp rating, windings, etc) and the manufacturer? Thanks. td

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Please give us a call and ask for Mike M.

Is this available in a 4 terminal version? 1965 CJ5

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Currently only 3.

Is this a continuous or intermittent duty solenoid? Wondering if it can be used as a relay or not.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Please send mike@kaiserwillys.com an image and we can take a look.

I'm converting my '47 CJ-2A to 12V and using the old 6V Starter. Will this solenoid work?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
You can mount this 12 volt solenoid just about anywhere. Your old 6 volt starter will work for awhile on 12 volt but will eventually burn out. Just dont crank on it too long. Thanks!

I am adding a keyed switch and solenoid to replace my foot start button in my 46 willys. Will this one work?

Willys Tech:
Yes as long as your are 12 volt and I would use ignition switch 924918.

will the 91924 starter solenoid work on a 1966 CJ-5 V6?

Willys Tech:
It should. You can also flatten out the brackets if you want to flush mount this anywhere in the engine compartment.

My 1947 CJ2A 6v has a starter solenoid mounted on the passenger side firewall. Must not be original because you don't offer a solenoid for that year / vehicle, true? I want to replace it, so which item # do I need to purchase? Thank U

Willys Tech:
If you are 6 volt then you want part number: 120568. You can just flatten the brackets if you want to mount to the firewall.

Does this have a bracket to mount on the starter, and does the wire from the ammeter run to the small silver post, and the cable from the battery to one large post and the cable to the starter post run from the other large post?

Willys Tech:
Yes, it has the bracket on it already. The wire to the small silver terminal on the solenoid goes to the start side of the ignition switch.
