I have this switch - the original mounting has flattened sides so the new one does not fit. Which is best, Flatten the mounting stem or drill the hole out?.

the headlight switch shows one lead going to the dash lights - on my 1949 truck it appears that this goes through a toggle switch first. Is this correct and is this switch available? thanks Larry Hunter

Its just a matter of how you wire it. If you want the dash lights to come on with the headlights, you would wire through the headlight switch. If you want to turn them on separately, you would have a toggle.
