You will need to match ratios front and rear. Its best for you to pull the 5 digit number off the ring or the pinion shaft and email it to mike@kaiserwillys.com. We can go from there to help you.

What is the gear and pinion diameter difference between a dana 25 and a dana 27? Is it possible to get bearings and enough shims that will make up the difference in diameter for the gear and pinion? Would it be easier to just swap a dana 27 axle from a jeepster commando or CJ?
