I'm rebuilding a 1952 M38A1 and I put in the new front wheel cylinders and new pads and had the hubs turned, now the hub dosen't want to go over the pads. Looks like the 1" cylinder is pushing the pads to far out. Not sure what to do at this point. Should I use the rear cylinder on the from to give me more room? I don't see any way to adjust the pads, I didn't have this issues with the rear. Thanks.
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
If the drum is hitting it then make sure to adjust your brake shoe eccentrics properly. Each wheel individually. Then compress the shoes to force any fluid out back into the master cylinder. It should go then.

CAN I USE 1 INCH BRAKE CYLINDERS ON THE BACK BRAKES AND 1 INCH ON THE FRONT?
Willys Tech:
I suppose you could but Im not really sure if you would get anything out of it.
