The early CJ5s must have had some kind of rear seat option but I have never seen one. Will this fit a 61 CJ5. If not can it be modified to fit in some way?

Yes, if I had a early CJ-5 this is what i would go with and just bump up the back a bit and mount the front legs. its the closest available that would be easier to change a bit to install.

I have the metal rear seat and new cushions/vinyl black covers. Can you tell me the proper procedure to fasten the cushions on to the seat?

We have a 53 CJ-3B and are looking to put this rear seat in but we currently have a roll bar which is not original. Can you supply the measurements so I can see if it fits?

The front legs slide into the slots that are part of the rear floor board. There are no loops per se. The rear post use part number: REARBRKT

Will the long back seat work in a '48 CJ2A? My clips are intact, and I'd like to use them, but with a long back seat if possible.

This will work just fine. The only real difference is the tall UPPER back at 15" metal pan vs. the CJ-2A which had a 6" tall metal pan.

I have a 69 CJ-5. Will this frame work for it or is their a better choice?

It will fit in the back but you wont have the cut outs in the floor board for the front and rear supports. Im sure it could be made to work though...

Yes, the rear legs lock into the rear brackets. When you are ready to remove, just push up on the back rest and the rear legs will pop out of the locks. Then pull towards you from the tailgate and the seat will come out.
