It says. This is the Proper vented cap with the valve inside for deep water fording. But in the Q and A you say this a non vented cap. Which is it vented or non vented?

I bought a new cap that was too small for the new tank I put in. The diameter of the 'hole' on the spout is: 1 13/16” inside diameter (inside spout hole) or 2 5/8” Outside diameter Will this 4.5" cap work?

1946 Cj 2a, seems to need a large mouth gas cap. Maybe tank from a different vehicle. Whats the outside diameter of the large mouth gas cap? dont want to order the wrong cap.

My 1951 M38, apparently, had its tank replaced with a CJ tank (smaller filler neck) at some time in its life. Is it possible to obtain just the 4" fill neck to have a shop weld that in place and properly adapt this tank to my military-spec vehicle? Would your tank supplier be willing to sell that important part separately through you?

Sorry, you cant get just a spout for it. You would have to fabricate that locally.
