i have a 49 cj3a with 5 springs front and back will the suspension 2 kit fit and what will it do to tje ride

That would be a set up that the stock leaf springs had leaves removed. What we sell is what it would have been originally. It would tighten up the suspension, since yours is most likely very loose.

I have a 1947 Cj3a and I’m looking for a small lift kit for it. I’m running 31” tires on it now. Are there any options for a 2-4” lift kit? I was thinking about just doing lift shackles and this kit.

See part number: 802979 and this suspension overhaul kit will get you some lift because your old leaf springs have most likely lost alot of their arch. It sets you back up to stock height. No problem on the 31" tires.

I discovered I've actually got a CJV35/U which has 10 leaf rear and 11 up front. Do you guys offer anything to keep me near stock? If yes, can those be substituted in the kit?

If I don't need the shocks in this suspension kit, can I still get it without them and if so what would the price difference be? I currently have some very stiff older 2" Superlift Leaf Springs which I like the ride height but hate the jaw breaking stiffness..

How do I know if my suspension is sagging? What can I measure? Even if it’s not sagging, is there a spring that will get me maybe an inch or so lift beyond factory height? I can send a pic.

I purchase your suspension 2 overhaul kit. When mounting the leaf springs is there a front and back of a leaf spring witch way they mount to the vehicle?

yes, the pivot eye end will accept the bronze bushing by pressing it in and the shackle end will accept the C-shackle bushings by threading it in with a breaker bar. See video as well. Thanks!

Why doesn't the overhaul kit include all the cotter pins? The one I got did not.

How does the quality of ride for this kit compare the ride of one of your lift kits you offer? I am looking for the smoothest ride possible, if there is such a thing with a Willys.

I have a 1948 CJ2A with a small block Chevy. Question 1 Will the 10 leaf front in your restoration kit keep the Shackle perpendicular to the frame ... don't want to loose any height?? I have a 49 CJ3A and need to replace suspension. I see you sell the whole suspension kit, do you have something to give a lift. I would to give it a little lift say 2/2.5.

You will probably get about 1 to 1.5 lift on this kit because your old leaf springs have most likely lost their arch thru the years and are now flat. This kit is the way to go.

I noticed there are two different spring options for the front of a 1947 CJ2A. Is the 10 leaf option used for after market engines? If I use the 10 leaf option on the original motor, will it make a rougher ride? Also, are the quality of the leaf springs in the overhaul kits the same quality if ordered individually?

I bought this Suspension kit from you. How do I remove the bushing on the leaf springs to install the new Shackle kit ? thanks.

The easiest way is to take a socket that is the size of the bushing on one end of the leaf spring. Take a larger socket on the other side that is the size of the leaf spring. Put into a vise and squeeze alittle. The smaller socket will push the bushing into the larger socket. It will just fall in with little effort.
