I have a 1970/71 CJ 5 Vin # 8305017 369696 Might have been assembled by GMC I shattered the front slip yoke and I’m having trouble finding a new one. I ordered one that claimed fit me CJ it was 16 spline but circumference was too big as well as the propeller too wide. I tried to get measurements from them but they where just middle men suppliers. I would like to send a detailed drawing but I need an email that I can attach it to. Thanks for your time Steve at stargaze@rof.net

Should the slip yoke be on the differential side or the transfer case side? Does it matter?

I needed another project since I retired so I acquired a 1953 CJ3B with a 225 Buick V6 in front of a Turbo 350 with the Model 18 transfer case. The front slip yoke has about 1/16" clearance at the transmission pan/case and it has marks where it has hit. Will your slip yoke give me more clearance? The motor is already offset almost 2" to the driver's side. I built a 1943 GPW back in the 70's with a Saginaw 3 speed behind a small block Chevy and it had plenty of clearance. I'm hoping I can keep the auto trans to keep the cost down. I'll be ordering the complete body kit from you next month and I want to solve this problem after I get the old body off. Thanks!!

These slip yokes would be to factory spec. You would have to modify possibly to make work given your situation.
