I have a 1948 CJ2, I want to replace the tires with NDT tread, we don’t ride off road. Would you recommend the round shoulder or square and the reason for your recommendation

This ultimately is a preference. Sometimes the square shoulder is a visual preference but will ultimately round over time. Round will stay round through the life of the tire but give you a smooth turn.

What is the correct tire size for a 1952 M38. Also can I use the Firestone non-directional tread 7.00 x 16 and if so can I use the rounded shoulder or the square shoulder

Alot of M38 did have the 7.00 x 16 tire on there. You could use either really on the square shoulder or rounded shoulder.

I bought 4 of the 7.00 16 6 ply tires a while ago but I don't remember if they were round or square shoulder. Now I want to purchase one for a spare. Is there a number on the ones I have to tell if they are round or square?

This is for the round should. But if you unsure what you bought just look right on the tire. It will have a stamping on the sidewall telling you what it is.

Is the tire size 7.00 x 16 (7.00-16 Firestone US-Military NDCC round shoulder) permissible for the Willys MB year of construction 1944? At the moment the size is 6.00 x 16 mounted. Thanks for your reply.
