I order this rod with new carburetor part #A1223 when installed the rod hits the throttle body, only giving 1/4 throttle max. Seems to be improper movement.

I have the accelerator pedal and the linkage that comes up the firewall and swings on the engine. Are these the parts that are needed to continue the linkup over to the carburetor?

The throttle cable really doesnt have much to do with the throttle rod assebmly. They are separate from one another. This item is for the accelerator pedal to carb linkage.

is this the same as the accelerator cable? if not please suggest what is needed. My accelerator is sticking (not returning to the up position easily).

They never used an accelerator cable on the vehicle listed above. This is an original replacement piece.
