Is this clock battery or electric?

The clock part itself (the part that actually keeps time) is powered by a single AA battery, and the neon part of the clock (the part that lights up) needs to be plugged in with the AC adapter that comes with the clock. That means, the clock continues to keep time whether the neon is turned on or off (plugged in or not).
