How much will this increase power by, will it make the jeep any faster? Also, would I need to buy anything else for this or is this direct bolt on and ready to go?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes it would be direct bolt on, not sure the exact power upgrade. Give us a call and we can discuss.

Will this carburetor work on my 1969 CJ 5 225? I'm pretty sure I have a 2 Brl Rochester Carb on there now with a spacer plate.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
No, but we do have options. Please email mike@kaiserwillys.com to help.

I need a replacement for my 1958 CJ-5 with an F-134's carburetor, but I'll be using it at 6000' of elevation normally, with trips into the 10000+' range occasionally. Will this carb or the Solex (923808) be a better fit for that? I'm not worried about originality, just functionality.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
I would consider 90001 given your altitude.

You say this will fit an engine with a YF carburetor, but will it replace a Carter WO?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
923804-A is the part you are after. But you can only use it if you purchase the adapter plate 923888

Would this fit an L134?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
If you have a YF carburetor.

This conversion carburetor looks like a good option for a 53 CJ3B. I have questions on how an air filter is incorporated. Can you tell me how the air horn from the current intake will adapt to this webber so I can use the existing oil bath air filter? The existing air horn has a round interface, but this webber has a square top. Lastly, can you provide the height from the bottom of the adaptor plate to the top of the new air filter? If I choose to use the new air filter I want to know how much loss of clearance I can expect.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Email mike@kaiserwillys.com and we can go over some options for you on.

Does this require some sort of adapter to fit on a 4-134 engine/intake manifold? Is this something I would have to build, or is there something available?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
It comes with an adapter but call and ask for Mike M. i can go over details.

Is it possible to use the old oil bath air filter on a '56 CJ5 with this carb? Also, will the hand throttle and choke knobs still connect to this carb?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Call us toll free and we can try to help on using this carb.

Thanks for your response to my previous questions. I just don't see how the hood that comes from the oil bath in my 1962 CJ5 attaches to this carburetor. Could you elaborate or guide me?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Email mike@kaiserwillys.com and we can help out.

Hi. I understand this carburetor will fit my 1962 F-134 CJ5 Willys. 1. I just want to make sure this is a better option than rebuilding the Carter YF carburetor I currently have and that there won't be any adjustment or clearances issues. 2. Another question I would like to ask is that I also have a Solex carburetor which is very hard to start the engine with, but once it starts it runs smoothly except that it has shut off once trying to go downhill and also at one point when coming uphill. Any ideas what could be causing this problem?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, that is correct. I would check your vacuum draw. You may have low vacuum. It should be 20" at idle once warm and no longer choked. Idle should be 475 rpm.

Do you need to use an electric fuel pump or will the current fuel pump on the F head work. Thoughts?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
The original is preferred. Electric typically put out too much fuel unless regulated.

Will I need a spacer to clear the oil dipstick on a stock F134 in a CJ3B?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
You would have to modify the adapter to clear the rocker cover.

Will this require shorter studs for the adapter plate to fit on?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
You may have to get shorter studs to make work.

will there be a clearance issue for the 1967 cj5 with f-134

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
No clearance issues on the hood.

I have a 71 CJ 5 with the Dauntless V-6 and Rochester Carburetor. Do you have a rebuild kit for it?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
I'm sure we can help you out with that. Give us a call toll free at 888-648-4923 or email me at mike@kaiserwillys.com. Thanks

I have a 54 CJ-3B with an existing Rochester single barrel. If you were not concerned about original would you go with this two barrel conversion or single barrel Solex?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
923808 is what I would go with.

So this will fit my 53 cj3b, and my understanding is I can still use the original oil bath air cleaner. How about the throttle linkage is it stock also? With no adapters or other parts needed, correct?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, your linkage will go to it as well. You may just have clearance with your rocker cover and the adapter flange of the carburetor will need to be modified to fit.

I have a Rochester 2bbl on a v6 dauntless. will this fit for a replacement?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
No, sorry, this will not fit the V6-225 motor.

Do you sell just the baseplate adapter, gaskets, and hardware? I already have a Weber carb that's been rebuilt. Thanks!

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Sorry, I cant get just that by itself.

Will this work on a 53 Willys 475 truck with the f-head motor?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, but you may have to machine the adapter base to allow clearance for your rocker cover.

Is this kit USA made?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
It is made by Webber. I will check on this.

Since further down on the page it has a "note" about fitment on other jeeps, specifically a CJ3A with the L-134 in my case. I'm guessing this will fit my jeep, even though it doesn't list it in the "fits" section?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
That's correct. This can fit the L-head model Jeeps but with some modification. Thanks

I have the CJ 3B w/ 134- F head. My concern is fit and hood clearance. Will this poke through the hood? Is there a low profile airfilter for this?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
This will not have any clearance issues on the CJ-3B.

It is not attaching properly to the engine on my cj3b. Do I need a different base adapter?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Please call us toll free. Ask for Mike M. and i can help you out.

Would this be a good replacement for an original cj2a solex carb. Is there any modifications needed for the intake? Pedal linkage? Choke and throttle cables?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
They never used a solex originally. They used a Carter Wo carb. 923806 is a good replacement carb.

What about this part makes in unsuitable for highway use in California?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
I do believe it is due to your strict EPA laws.

Using this carb and the conversion kit will this replace carb (your part # 923808 on a stock 57 CJ5 F-head) as an improvement in performance?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, this is for the 4-134 F engine and a performance increase per item description above.

I have a 49 cj2a with the hurricane 134 out of a 3B. Judging by the details I would not have to modify anything on the intake? Also does this conversion allow more clearance for the hood versus the carter? was trying to lower the profile of the carb.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
This will be a bit lower clearance but we have not tried it in a CJ-2A with a unoriginal engine.

I have a 53 cb3b what type of air filter do you run on this carb

Willys Tech:
You would have to reuse your original oil bath air cleaner.
