Do you have a good drawing of how this goes together by chance? I'm especially interested in where the spring clip is installed and how it goes in place. Thank you for help.
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
The treadle spring is at the base of the pedal. We do have a diagram. Email mike@kaiserwillys.com

Hello I have a 1944 GPW with a accelerator pedal linkage system that appears to have changed by the previous owner, there was a small 1 inch connector piece between the gas pedal linkage rod and the accelerator rod. When I removed this add on piece the pedal linkage will fit but the pedal is very close to the floor and the carburetor linkage only has enough travel to open 1/2-3/4. Can you tell me what the length of the pedal linkages are supposed to be as I’m troubleshooting what should be a simple design. Thanks in advance

I have a 1952 M38. The rod on the pedal has a ball on both ends. One goes into the pedal and the other end goes into a boot outside the fire wall that attaches to the assembly rod that goes to the carb. I suppose this was home made?
