The "book" says that the original tire for my 1952 4 wd wagon is a 6.7 x 15. If this is true, the speedometer is calibrated for the diameter. The 7.00 x 15 are noted for this vehicle is noted in your catalog as the correct one. That diameter is noted as 29.5". Is that the original size or, as I assume, larger. I am assuming the original tire at 6.70 has less diameter (which I can find), thus the speed will not be correct. Don't care about the accuracy but more so my actual speed at the recommended max cruising speed of 47 mph for my 134F (freshly rebuilt) engine with no overdrive assistance. Need to the get these tires ordered, just wanted to know the consequenses. Am looking as some 225/75 15 tires that are listed as wide. Will they fit?? Hal D. Brown 1952 4wd wagon Ausitn, TX

Typically due to the lower speeds the Willys travel - a small difference in tire size isnt going to effect your speedometer vs. actual speed that much. Good news about Willys is youll never get a speeding ticket.

I am considering purchasing a 1949 Willys Jeepster (Automatic v6 with 89585 RWD) and I would like a good all weather durable 75000 plus tire- tubeless. What do you suggest, and at which price do you sell them?
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
This white wall tire we have here is going to be the closest tire to what is used originally and what we recommend to keep the vehicles looking original.
