Based on dimensions it looks like it is shipped on its side. Im limited on space and Im not quite ready to install the tub kit. If it is shipped on its side would it be okay to be stored on its side for a couple of months till Im ready for it?

That is part number: 982009. It is separate. It will have all the proper bracing and baffle on the inside of the wheel well for it.

You indicate that the dimensions of the shipping crate are 89L X 40W X 66H. I assume then that the tub is shipped on its side. Would it be safe to be transported on a trailer over a long distance in this same side-down position if properly secured?

i have bought a 1946 willys jeep according to the title. The front grill has a location for headlights, running lights and a 2nd location for maybe blinkers my quess. i was not aware there were blinkers on the 46 willys. Sounds like someone drilled some extra holes in your grille. They originally did not have turn signal in the front. Its common though to put them in now.

I have a CJ2a with an L head engine installed. The previous owner cut a hole in the hood to accomodate the increased height. Do you have a better suggestion on how to use a CJ2a hood without needing to cut it? I have read that changing the position of the carberator might help. I am planning to obtain a new body kit, but I hate to cut the new hood.

Will this kit fit a very early 1949 CJ3A. My old willy's had CJ2A fenders, and windshield, but a 3A body sticker. I was told that is not unusual as they used up all the 2A stuff on early 49 3A's. Go figure.... Also, can I put a M38 tailgate on for mounting the spare and gas can on the rear. Thanks, James.

If you have a CJ-5 I would recomment getting a CJ-5 tub. Im sure you could modify but the wheel well lengths are different.

The Jeep embossing came much later on the tool box section of the 2a. I don't even think they had that at all. It was much later they stamped things Jeep.

I have a willys jeep Vin # 17501303 and on the tile its states a 1965 willys CJ2A64124 and it has the parts on it for a shovel and axe can someone tell me if this is the correct year of this vehicle.
