Hi, will these fit a 1960 FC 170?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
If you have the same 11" brakes - yes.

Does the primary shoe have the larger pad, or the smaller pad? Also any advice on how to get emergency brake cable off the lever and drum?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Primary is the longer pad. Please email mike@Kaiserwillys.com to help.

How do I install the emergency brake levers to the rear shoes (the levers that hold the ends of the e-brake cable)? They seem riveted.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Please email mike@kaiserwillys.com and we can try to help out. Thanks!

I need a set of front brake shoes for my 1954 Willys Station wagon Not sure how to measure the shoes as 11 inch?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
You don't measure shoes on brakes. The inside to inside machine surface measurement on the drum is the 11".

Will these shoes(PN 918246) work on front brakes for a '49 2-wheel drive pickup? Thanks!

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
As long as you have the 11" brakes. Thanks

I recently bought brake drums, sku 941877, are these the correct shoes for these drums. I have a 46 CJ-2 that was fitted with these drums want to make sure about the shoes.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, these are correct for those drums.

Which side is the primary or secondary shoe?...,Let's say if you are looking at the front brakes on passenger side...

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
The primary shoe goes towards the front of the vehicle. Thanks

looking at this item, it appears front and rear are the same? is that the case? we need front.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, they are the same. However, this is sold per axle only. If you need front and rear, you will need to buy two of them.

Does the" Long" shoe go towards the front of drum or back? I read that the shoes on a willys wagon (11x2) drum were not the normal set up

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
We typically put the long (primary) shoe towards the front but ive seen it both ways.

Does this kit include any of the extra hardware, such as the return springs, or does it only include the pads?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
These are shoe set only.

In converting OEM shoes on a '52 Willys 4 x 4 truck to 11 , do new drums need to be installed

Willys Tech:
The Willys Truck was always 11 drum set up. You should inspect your machine surface for scoring and out of roundness. Replace if out of spec.

How do you tell what size brakes you have? The brake shoes on my truck are12x2 primary shoe &10x2 secondary. Thanks Tim

Willys Tech:
You measure the machine surface of the drum across. That gives you the size.

I have a 46 cj2-a That i am rebuiling, what would i need to purchase in order to switch from a 9 to a 11 brake

Willys Tech:
Yes they were originally the same front and rear.
