If I do not have a core for the Carter carburetor what can I do for a new carburetor? I have bought a 48 CJ2A that has an F head engine that has a Carter on it however my running CJ2A has a Solex. So I will still need a Carter at some point. What are your thoughts on this? Thanks for the help. Cale

I have a solex carb on an L-head. Would I need to change anything ?

No, this is a kit for it.

I have a 1952 Jeep CJ3A with a Solex carb and I live a 5000 foot elevation, so do I need smaller jets for correct fuel/air mix?

Willys Tech:
You may but I don’t believe that is available.

My carb has an air leak around the throttle shaft. Does this kit come with anything to correct this? Thanks

Willys Tech:
You may have some wear in the body. But this kit is complete with everything shown in the photo.

Is this kit exactly as the picture shows, meaning the red excelarator pump

Willys Tech:
The kits vary alittle. It is a complete kit and proper for the solex.
