Is this a single use gasket? (I.e. should it be replaced any time the carb is unbolted off the engine?) Also does it matter which way it goes on as long as the V is facing down down? (I.e. there is not “left” and “right” orientation)

Will this carb to manifold gasket work on my 42 GPW? I was going to order a solex carb from y’all and this gasket but it says 45-45 GPW so wanted to make sure it would work.

Is 1 3/8 centerline for this gasket the same as 2 3/8 hole to hole for the other gasket?

I suppose these were originally designed to make the Carter WO carburetors work better. Will they make the Solex replacement carbs work better too?
