I have a 226 Super Hurricane engine. How do I determine which rear seal to use rope or neoprene?

The later ones are neoprene typically after 58 but it is always best to check was is actually back there.

I'm not sure if my 6-226 has rope or neoprene? Are the seal kits the same other then the rear main seal? If so, I could just purchase the neoprene separate in case I need it? It's just ten dollars difference.

Does this gasket set work with both 1 bbl and 2 bbl applications?

This is for single barrel carbs. The only difference really is just the one gasket between the two.
