If going to an aftermarket master cylinder you will need to bend your lines to match that.

I have a 1950 CJ3A , I have 11'' brakes front and rear, 4 new wheel cylinders, new shoes and a new stock master cylinder. I'm trying to get Better brakes..I cant afford the disc conversion right now...My question is would It benefit me to change to a dual res. master cylinder and replace all brake lines with new ones? Thanks in advance....
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
That's a good question and it all depends on your situation. If you are driving the 3A daily, live in a hilly area where more braking power is need, I would say yes to the master cylinder upgrade. However, if you said no to what I mentioned above and the 3A is more of a Sunday driver then the 11" brakes are more than enough of an upgrade already. If you still have any more questions, please give me a call toll free at 888.648.4923. Thanks

Bob:
I have a 1950 CJ-3A. It also came with a Model 41. The Model 44 did not appear in the CJ-3A in till late in November 1950 during a production Engineering change.

I am converting g to a dual master cyl. Will this kit work for that.? Will I need "banjo" fittings for the MC on a 49 CJ3A?
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
If you are using a set up that takes the original lines then you will be all set with this kit. It will work with some modification.

I'm converting my CJ3A to front discs with dual master cylinder. Will this kit work to replace all my brake lines?
Willys Tech:
If you are going to a disc dual res master cylinder you will need to re-do the lines by the master cylinder. All the other lines should be ok for you then.
