What is the difference between the Dana25 and the Dana44. I have a 1952. Where is the axle marked to identify witch axle I have. I would hate to order the wrong kit. thanks

Item 15 on diagram 228 in the manual shows a Thrust Washer. Mine is missing on one side, and I can't see them in your catalogue. Are they available or are they necessary? The diagram also shows Item 16 and 17, Axle Pilot and Oil Seal which were not fitted when I disassembled the Knuckle. My 3B is fitted with Spicer axles, and they were not in the overhaul kit you supplied, so are they also a non-requirement. Thank you for your excellent service to date, regards Don.

I purchased the complete rebuild kit, however, the kit did not include the pinion shaft oil seal gasket. It has the oil seal but not the paper gasket. appears that oil will leak around the oil seal without the gasket. Do I need to use this gasket? It appears that the gaskets are about a buck or so but shipping would be far in excess. Might want to include in your kit if it is necessary for rebuilding. .

Probably not. They are different in more ways than one and will be a tough fit. We sell all the proper parts to rebuild yours and have SATURN overdrives if your wanting to go faster too...
