Trying to make this air cleaner assembly work on a 1951 truck. The outlet of the air cleaner assembly is smaller than the inlet for the air horn. Wondering if the air horn for the 1949 truck with fit on my 1951 truck? If it is I think that would solve the problem. Do have another suggestion?

I believe this is the air filter assembly I have on my truck I’m restoring. Does not seem to be a filer of any type associated. It also does not have the screw point for the oil type. What filter is needed?

What type /grade of oil do you use in filter, regular engine oil?

I would take your old mesh out of your oil bath air cleaner and hose it out and let it dry in the sun.

Does complete include the cross over and horn? If not can you find a used complete assembly?

Does the air cleaner include all parts inside the assembly? I understand there is a re-usable screen mesh filter that goes inside the canister, or does it just use the oil bath tray at the bottom to colllect the dirt?
