I purchased one of these and it does not seem to be advancing the timing as the rpm increasing. Does this unit advance timing?

I have a 1953 M38A1. It's 24 vdc waterproof ignition. If I convert to 12vdc, will this module work in this distributor and with current spark plugs?

This unit is not something you can add to your existing distributor unless it was already a 12 volt electronic distributor. Instead of buying this, purchase 923068. That is a complete distributor. Thanks!

Toasted 2 of these, im running a 12v gm 1 wire alt. and a internal resistor coil??? any suggestions?

No, these are for 12 volt only.

Is there a way to test the ignition module to see if it's functioning properly. No spark from distributor but coil checks out fine. This distributor is brand new never been fired up.
