Does the speedo use the same cable and drive gear as later models? I was thinking of changing out my 68 dj5 to use this type of speedo along with separate gauges but want to know if speed will work and be accurate. If so, I would buy a dash plate to install on the 68 dash.

A 2 wheel drive DJ would use a different cable than 4WD jeeps. But this does use the 643797 cable for later jeeps too as well as the MB/GPW one we list too.

I can see the Temperature Gauge has the required connections. Do all the gauges have required connectors. Is it complete ready to install?

Have two questions, I bought awhile back the 12v alternator conversion kit # ALT12v from you all and in the kit it came with a ammeter gauge (modern type). Will the ammeter from this gauge kit work with the alternator kit when wired up properly? And second question is about the temperature gauge. Does the temperature gauge come with the wire unit shown in the photo? Thank you

Question? My husband has a 1946 CJ2A Willys he is trying to set up as a WW2 tribute Jeep. I want to buy him new speedometer & gages for his Jeep for Christmas. He has a 12 volt electrical system. Will the above gage kit work for his Jeep? ( Item 540200 New Complete Speedometer and Gage Kit. ) Thank you! Christine P.S. If this set will not work do you have a set you could suggest that would be close to WW2 looking as possible?

The CJ3B I have uses a large RPM/Odometer gauge instead of a speedometer/odometer. It has the temp and fuel gauge on it too, even though there are smaller, apparently inoperative gauges for those too on the dash. I want a speedometer (of this kit) and the correct small gauges. Will I need additional parts to hook up a speedometer and replace the rpm meter?
