I want to rewire my 56 CJ6. Does this include a new fuse block? Mine is old and corroded. If not, where can I find one?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
They never used fuses back then. If you are referring to a junction block (for headlights) we offer those, but they do not come with the harnesses.

Just received my wiring harness for my 59 CJ5... I am running a 1 wire alternator instead of a generator and voltage regulator... Do you have instructions on how to wire it up and bypass the generator and voltage regulator wiring?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Give us a call and we can help you. Its multi step - so a call would be easiest.

will this harness work for 1953 cJ-3b with a 12volt upgrade?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes it will work for 6 volt or 12 volt.

Do you have a PDF for the color coding on the wiring harness? 64 CJ3B

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:

I ordered a speedometer for my 65 cj5. Does the wiring harness come with the bulbs that plug into the back of the speedometer, blinker etc.?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
It will have the sockets for the bulbs to go to the back of the speedometer all there.

I am working on tracing wires on my 63 CJ3B. My problem is that I don't know what I'm looking at. I have wires that go into the harness and are dead ends in the engine. Would your step by step instructions help me identify what I'm looking at? I don't know what are the colors are or where they are supposed to go. Thank you.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
We can probably help you. Email jason@kaiserwillys.com

I was talking with Walcks about a harness for my 60' Fhead cj6 with an alternator. Can you build a harness for that application? Thanks

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Please call us toll free and we can help. We have alternator harnesses too. Ask for Mike M.

I recently purchased a wiring harness for my 65 CJ5 project from Walck's and it worked wonderfully. I have a 58 CJ5 that I will be needing a harness for in the next 6 months or so and am wondering... since you recently acquired Walck's business due to his retiring if the harness I would eventually purchase through you would be of the same quality and design?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes! They will be the same harness exactly! We are happy to help out.

Will the harness 04 work for a 12volt swap on a 55 cj5?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, it will work for either 6 or 12V.

Recently purchased the wiring harness for a '64 CJ5 and in the process of installing it and have a question regarding the heater. I don't notice any reference to any wiring for it. There are three (3) wires coming from the heater, red, yellow and black. I'm assuming the black is a ground and the red and yellow go to the tabs on the heater control. Just wondering where the power comes from. Also, noted with the harness there are two yellow and two blue wires in the kit with one end without a connection and the other ends have a male bullet connector attached. What are these four wire for? There is no mention in the included wiring diagram that I can see.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Most didnt have a heater from the factory. You would have to wire in your heater thru the switch for it. You can email us some photos and we can try to help.

Hello: My son and I are restoring our 1953 CJ3B. We bought a wiring harness from you about 8 years ago and installed most of the wiring. Then life got in the way and the project was put on hold. We are now resuming it and can't find the original wire-by-wire instructions. Wopuld you be able to email me a copy. Thanks! Roger

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Email mike@kaiserwillys.com and we can help.

I'm restoring a 1958 cj5..does this harness include the temperature and oil pressure sending units (switches) that work with the instrument panel and go into the block? Since this model has no actual temperature and oil pressure gauges, I figure the sending units must be some type of pressure or max temp switch that would illuminate the corresponding lights in the instrument cluster.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
The actual switches/senders are not part of the harness. But it has all the wiring going up to them.

Customer # 265293, with over $2,300 in parts, I just need a Wiring Diagram. Can you send me a WIRING DIAGRAM for a 1955 Jeep CJ5. This Jeep came off a pecan orchard. It has not been used in years. Top of Transmission Froze from rust, Ok now and change oil twice. Engine and transmission, rear-end and transfer cases are fine. I have had it running and drove a couple miles. Now, I want to finalize the wiring. Many wires were cut, others spliced with non-matching colors. I've pulled all the dry-cracked conduit off. I need assistance on the brake/turn signal wiring, headlights and park/turn signal lights in front, horn is there but need to wire to relay and horn button. There is also a rheostat in front of radiator, no wires to it. A complete DIAGRAM will finalize this for the road. Thank you, Jim Bertzyk

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Email mike@Kaiserwillys.com to help out. Thanks!

I recently purchased a 1956 cj5 it has two waterpump to under the dash heaters. one on drivers side marked willys the one on the passengers side is not marked. I have two heat switches on the dash. Question one does your wire kit come with heat wiring? Question two does your wire kits come with the wire junction blocks that mount under the hood? I'm in need of a full wire kit with underwood junction blocks with dual heaters and steering column mounted turn signals.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Not sure what all you have going on there. Email us some photos. Happy to try to help.

Hi, can you build a harness for a CJ5 with a single wire Delco alternator with flasher and back-up lights? Thanks.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
We'll need to get more information. Please email mike@kaiserwillys.com

Does this COMPLETE WIRING HARNESS include wire for Siede Markers? I have an 54 CJB3 Willys Jeep. Thany you and kind regards, Stefan

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
They never used side markers originally. But we do sell wire by the foot if you need it.

Hi. Can you wire the harness for working with an alternator and not a generator with a voltage regulator?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
If you have an aftermarket alternator you would just have to wire it up accordingly. You may just have to swap out a few end connections.

Do you have any provision for adding a 7 pin trailer wiring connector for a cj5? Thanks

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Your local trailer/truck shop should be able to do for you.

Will this harness work for a 1970 CJ5 where the gas tank and fuel pump is in the rear, under the bed?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
HARNESS-14 is what you would want. We ask a series of questions to custom make them.

I have a 1964 CJ that I purchased about a year ago. It has a ford 289 with an electric distributor under the hood, would this harness work for this set up?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Typically the motor doesn't change too much on the wiring as long as they have not moved things on the to or from the fenders or firewall. You would have to change some connections on your end for the starter or generator, ect.

I have a '46 CJ-2A that the previous owner installed a 4-134 F motor at some point. Will this harness work or do I need the CJ-2A harness?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
I would get HARNESS-03 for the 2A. It will be a better fit.

I want to change over from my original generator to a new style alternator, the same with starter, solid state ignition and breaks. how will this wiring harness work with those mods that I buy from you?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Fuse blocks were not originally used.

Is the wiring harness set up for voltage regulator or altornator

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
They are wired like original for a voltage regulator and generator.

I have a 59 CJ5 all original and would like to convert over to 12 volt. What do I need to make the conversion?

I'm rebuilding a 59 cj5 with alterations. It's converted to a 12 volt system, 231 buick v6 engine, electric individual wipers, trailer light hook up. My question is doe you provide a wire harness for some thing like this? which part number might it be? Thank you Rex

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
We make the harnesses to each vehicle. Given your set up you would just possibly have to change some wires around for install.

I have a 1960 Willy's CJ5 four cylinder with alternator and a 12 volt system. I would like to do a complete rewire but have not done this before nor will I have anyone local to ask questions. Will the "wire to wire" instructions be sufficient or am I getting in over my head?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
You should be fine with the instructions and if you need any help along the way you can always call us toll free.

Can you do a wiring harness with plastic covering in place of the cloth covering?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
We can usually custom make the harnesses for this. Please call us toll free and we can help out.

When you says "includes turn signals" does it include the switch that mounts on steering column, or does it just it has the wires to go to it? Is there a particular fuse block you recommend? Elsewhere in Q & A it's stated that this will work with vehicle that have been converted to alternator, but "as is" or with mods? -- and do the wiring instructions provide that info? Thanks

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
It includes the wiring at your turn signals. The turn signal switch is a separate item.

Recently purchased wiring harmes, w/turn signals. Are there diagrams for wirimg this harness without turn signals. Maybe color coded to match wires?

Willys Tech:
All you have to do is tape off the wires that go to the turn signals. That's pretty much it if you are not wanting to run the pre-loomed in wires for the turn signals.

have a 1959 willys cj5 12volt f-4-134 wireing looks like spaghetti wired nothing like diagram I have. does the harness come with instructions as to where each wire goes, and is it set for a generator which I have in mine

Willys Tech:
Yes, this will have wire for wire instructions with it. They are made like original to factory spec for the generator.

Willys Tech:
Yes, that would be the one I order for your 12V M38A1.

I'm a new owner of a 1965 CJ-5. My new toy has wiring issues and I considering purchasing a complete new harness for it. Do you recommend using a fuse block along with the new harness? If not, what provides the protection for a short or over loaded circuit? Can a fuse block be purchased thru you? How many circuits do I need to provide for?

Willys Tech:
The fuse blocks were never original but they are not a bad idea to wire in. They are a local Napa item.

Is the wiring harness coated with modern insulation or period correct cloth sheathing ?

Willys Tech:
It depends on the year of your vehicle. We custom make them to original. The earlier ones had cloth coating. The later ones were plastic coated like original.

Is it wired for uses with a generator or alternator, or is the wiring the same for both?

Willys Tech:
They originally used generators on these vehicles. It would be a simple swap though for an alternator.

I just bought a 59 willys with a new wiring harness but no instructios, I also got a mech manual from you but its not very ddiscriptive, where can i get just the wireing diagram to finish this up

Willys Tech:
As long as the harness came from us we will have wiring instruc. to match it.

Does it include a fuse block and turn signal relay?

Willys Tech:
These never had a fuse. We do sell the relay.

could you please email me the wire by wire instructions so i get an idea of how to install this wiring harness, i would really appreciate it.

Willys Tech:
They come in with the harness.

will this wiring harness handle 12 volts with no problems?
