I have a gasket similar to this one that I bought from you 3 years ago. There are no markings on it. Does this gasket have a top or bottom side? There are no markings on the gasket.

I watched a video that stated I should put two coats of Copper Spray on the gasket before installing it on the 4-134 flathead engine. However, in that video the head gasket looked different than this one. The part number 638540 gasket appears to have a softer material over the steel layer of the gasket. So, I am hesitating putting the copper spray on this gasket. What is the proper way to prepare this gasket. Or, should I use it as it came from your store? Mitch
