Can the "T" handle assembly be removed from the bracket and thus mounted thru the dash.

Hello! I have a very stock original 1974 CJ5 with a foot pedal E brake that flexes and just doesn't feel secure. Ultimately I would like to move to a handbrake to properly hold and release the brake at the boat ramp... I tow a small aluminum runabout with the Jeep sometimes and it's an awesome rig except for the brake situation... Any thoughts on adapting this handle to my current set up? Thank you!

My 1971 Jeep CJ5 appears to have the emergency brake to the transfer case. All parts missing except for transfer case lock fitting. Would this T handle work and also need cable to connect? Thanks Alfred

I have never tried to mount this to a Willys Station wagon. We do have cane handles for 46-53 SW part number 641725
