I have a FC150 generator which I believe was converted to a 12 volt system. I was looking for a manufacturer name plate but nothing. I believe the bearings are shot due to a screeching noise when I hit above 25 MPH. I check the water pump and that seems ok. Any ideas what this gen might be? Auto lite? Delco? I was also looking for the rebuild kit if available Thanks Ron O

I forgot to mention in previous question that I have a 6V generator, and was wondering if I can use it for a core exchange on this 12V generator?
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
On the cores we have to have your old one in to rebuild. I may possibly have a 12 volt core i can sell you. Call us toll free and we can help. Thanks!

I have a CJ3A that has been converted to 12V alternator setup. I just purchased an old Western snow Plow for the jeep, but het Monarch Hy-Lo pump has a bracket for mounting directly to a generator. Will this 12V generator fit for my application? I plan to buy a 12V voltage regulator to go with it. Biggest question is if this generator is same dimensions as 6V that was original to the CJ3A?

I have a 59 willys cj5 that my grandad left for my oldest son when he passed away. We are in the process of starting to restore it. Although it's in considerably good condition we believe the generator is not working because it is draining a brand new battery. My problem is that the plate on the generator reads Autolite GJC-7001C. Will an Autolite 7002 work with our jeep and does anyone know why this jeep would have a different version of the Autolite generator?
Willys Tech:
There are several versions they used. It should be fine. We can rebuild either for you.
