Trying to find a starter for a 1957 Willy’s dj3b with the L4-134 but not having luck any help is greatly appreciated

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Give us a call and we can give you a hand with getting you what you need.

I am trying to identify my starter in my 1953 cj3b with key start and starter solenoid on firewall and a 12 volt system It has the number 2271 stamped on it with a number 4 above it, not sure if this is a 6 volt or 12 volt starter , thanks

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Should be a number cast in the collar or nose cone area. What is that?

Is it possible to buy this item without sending in the original starter prior? I ask since I have a my Willys in Central America for the holidays and need the Jeep running. Once I return I can send in the core. Is there something we can work out so that I can end up paying the $250 in the end.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Please email mike@kaiserwillys.com and we can go over core fees.

I have a 1965 Jeep Willys will this fit on that vehicle? Do you only have it refurbished or as also new and how much is the price difference?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
This part number is if we rebuild yours. See item number: 924885-12V or AA7004-12V for new options.

Would a 6 Volt starter be able to be rebuilt as a 12 volt unit?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Typically no. We offer new 12 volt starters. Please call us toll free and we can help out.

Which engine starter to choose for a JEEP CJ5 of 1957, with Hurricane engine F4-134 in 12V and a toothed crown with 129 teeth? Is this model the right one? What weight does he make? Thank you (I do not have any old starter to exchange or return)

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
There are a couple things to go for the starter. Please give me a call toll free and we can help you: 888-648-4923. Thanks!
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, this is the correct one. Please call us toll free and we can go over your options.
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
925520-12V or AA7004-12V are some options.

only part # on my starter is PS 1360, Will this fit properly on my CJ-5 1965 Jeep, serial # 8305 189903

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
This is a rebuilt starter and sold outright. We need your core back first. Give us a call toll free and we can go over it.
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, we need your old core in first. Or we do have brand new starters available too.
Willys Tech:
That is a MDU-7004 starter motor.

Would this be the right replacement for my '65 CJ5. I just pulled it out and noticed the part number: MDU 7004 9W. All the searches I've done have given me the MDU 7004 part# without the 9W at the end.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, this would be the correct one. Give us a call toll free and we can go over your options on the core: 888-648-4923. Thanks!
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
We will need to have the charge first for rebuild. Call us toll free and we can get you set up.
