Hi team of Kaiser Willys, I just bought 5x FIRESTONE NON DIRECTIONAL TIRE 7.50 X 16, 6ply for my M38A1. As you know the M38A1 naturally has the 7.00 x 16, 4ply. and the handbook states for these: 25psi front & rear. So the question is: what tire inflation do you recommend for the 7.5x16, 6ply on this jeep? I appreciate your help, Phil
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
It is marked directly on the tires themselves the manufacturers recommended pressure. We can check on a set for you. Please email mike@kaiserwillys.com

I am looking at a 1949 Willy's Pickup and I love the ND Tires. What is the recommended Tire size for this truck?
Willys Tech:
Any tire size from 6.00 to 7.50 should work fine. Always double check if you have 15 or 16 rims.

My question pertains to clearence of the vheicle and tire size. I have a 1948 Willys that needs tires. Without a lift kit what tire size can I put on this vheicle without it rubbing on the body? I would like to put on as big of tire as I can without altering the lift of the body. Will these tires work?
Willys Tech:
I would go with 7.00 x 16 to be safe. If you have new suspension on there you can probably get away with 7.50 but your old suspension which may be alittle sagged thru the years you may have some rubbing.

Is this tire street legal? Also will this tire fit on the civilian 16 steel wheel? Would this tire sit well under a stock CJ5 or do I need a lift to run this big of a tire? I want to fill the wheel well out as much as possible. Would the 7.00x16 be better for not having a lift? Thanks
Willys Tech:
Yes it is street legal. I really recomment the part number: F700-16ND.
