Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
There is no difference. We list it with the "A" on the end of the second part to add more description to the item. Sorry for the confusion. Thanks

My 1951 Jeepster with the 4-134 L engine was never equipped with an oil filter. If I upgrade to this Fram "style", it comes with 2 clamps. Does the newly offered A-1247 Bracket "replace" those 2 generic looking clamps? Or will I be using both the clamps and the bracket? Thanks. I have no reference to use so appreciate your input.
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
You will need those clamps and the mount bracket - A1247. The mounting bracket is installed on top of the block and the canister is mounted from the side of the passenger side block. Thanks

The Fram style oil filter canister assembly says it can be used on the 6-266 engine with some minor modification. What is the modification?
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
You will just need to mount it for it to work. Your existing bracket should work for it as well.

What sort of modifications are needed for the 226 installation?
Willys Tech:
It should work fine. You will just need to drill your mounting bracket to accept the clamps on these.
