I have a 1959 CJ5 with the short fenders and want both sides Metal , can you tell me the correct part # and do you have both in stock?>

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
The fenders with no side marker indentation and hole are the ones you want for the early. Part numbers: 688233 & 688234

I like to beleive I understand the meaning of INDENTATION. However I looked at those 2 pictures (with side marker and less side marker ) and do not see any difference. What am I missing ?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech.:
Its referring to the side marker indentation for a rectangular reflector light.

is this the short front fenders?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
These are the correct size fenders for the CJ5 upt to 71. I would assume thats what you mean by short, as they get longer after the early 70s.

I have a 1959 CJ5 looking for the 2 fenders , Fire wall to the Grill mount is 33" and Firewall to the end of the front fender is 36" , is that what this is?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
These fenders are the exact same size as the original. Assuming you have a 1959 Cj 5 - these would be the proper fenders for you.

How much does the fender weigh with its packaging?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Dimensions 48 × 19 × 17" Weight 30 pds approx.

What are the modifications required to use this fender on a 1965 CJ-5? Any photos of installed product for comparison to original sheet metal?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Ive put these on my CJ-5. They bolt up at the body and grill great. You may just need to cut a bit out over the upper shock mount there at the frame for clearance. Thanks!

Will this fender fit a 1971 Jeep commando

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Sorry, I do believe they are different.

I noticed you have a fender item 984705 for a M38A1, would you happen to have just repair panels available just a bit of the front of the fender from about where the fender mount light is to the front, just need a patch or if you have any fenders that might have been damaged in shipping? Thanks you

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
688234-A and 688233-A are overlay panels. But other than that you can only get the complete fender.

What the difference between marked and un marked fenders?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
It is the side marker reflector. Early style fenders did not have them. However both fenders will bolt up the same.

will these fenders fit my 1958 cj-5

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, it is in the Fits range listed and proper.

What are the side marker indentations?

Willys Tech:
Those are the cut out / hole for the side marker lens and bulb in the fender.

are these fenders the same gauge as the original productions ???

Willys Tech:
Yes that is correct.

Do these also have the inner brace?

Luke:
These do not have the inner brace
Willys Tech:
Yes these are complete fenders inner and outer.

How thick (gauge) are these fenders?

Willys Tech:
16 Gauge
