Will these shocks work with a 1.5" lift shackle?

The rear ones on a CJ-5 are longer extended.

Your picture shows shock 8133290A is blue in color which is odd for a M38A1. Is there a reason it's blue and can it be painted?

That is what color the manufacturer paints them. They can be repainted. We have OD green paint too.

If you have just a body lift, then the shocks should not be effected by it so yes.

I ordered the 8133290 for my 1968 cj5 just for the front, I think I messed up, the book calls for the 8133290A will this shock work on my jeep and what is the difference ?
