Does this strap come with the brackets required to attach it to the floor. 1947 CJ-2A

I have a 1953 CJ3-A with a new gas tank #640685. Ordered the above hold down strap and it is at least 2" to long. Doesn't come close to snugging down. What am I doing wrong?

No, this strap is for the civilian models. If you have an MB use A1450K and if you have a GPW use A1400K. Thanks

How many are required for a MB? And besides the insulation is there anything else needed?

For a MB you need 2. They clip into the brackets on the body and floor board.
