I have a 1950 CJ-3A. Looking to replace the Fuel Sending unit. My old unit looks like #A1292, not the #640694 you list as supporting the CJ-3A. Is the A1292 compatible as well? Maybe some models used older parts? FYI - Current State: Gauge appears to have power, but not sure if the sending unit arm is stuck. The wire is definitely not attached to the SU (after attaching it, no change in Fuel status. Always says "Full".

What is the sender float made of? There are two different versions pictured. The first picture looks like it shows a metal float and the other pictures show a cork float. Thanks.

I have a 12V Radio Jeep Ford GPW 1944 and need both a new fuel tank sending unit and a new gauge both 12V. I cant see which sparepart nr I shall use, for the sending unit in 12V as I can only see one (A1292). The Gauge should be A8184-12V.
