Questions & Answers
Hi. I received a 31594 bearing with my order. The bearing that came out of my axle was a 31593. Are these bearings interchangeable?

Hey, I have a CJ-2A, and I am refinishing the front axle. I need to replace the cup and cone and rollers that fit into the top and bottom of the ends of the axle. I believe what I want is the pinion bearing, but I just wanted to double check and make sure it is not the wheel bearing or carrier bearing, as they all look similar in the pictures. The pivot pin goes into this bearing. Thanks for the help,

Sounds more like you mean the king pins. Try part number: 52940K

What is the lug pattern and backspacing? I'm hoping the Firestone Military 900-16 tire will fit. It is a 35.2" diameter with a rim width of 5.00-6.50 Thank you!
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
The 900 are way too big. The biggest you really want to go is 700 or 750 on the vehciel. 5x5.5" pattern.

For a 1965 CJ5 with a Dana 44 rear axle, 5.38:1 gears), it appears the inner and outer pinion bearings are different. Can you please verify??
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, they are different. The inners and outers are different. Please see our axle diagram section.
