1943 GPW. Wiring harness purchased and all wiring diagrams i can find, show two wires to fuel gauge. assume input from circuit breaker is positive, correct? Would input from sender be "S" or negative? And... what is the third post for?

"S" is sender "+" is power thru ignition "-" is ground.

Hi - I purchased this gauge a few years back, but finally getting to the install. Can you confirm which each bolt on the back is for? + , -, sender unit. etc?

having an issue with my fuel gauge. i am running a 6 volt system. all new wiring , new sending unit and gauge all from you guys. sending unit oms out from 0-130 so it seems to be working correctly. center wire from sending unit 6v from ignition and a ground. i see some kind of adjustment on the gauge. what is that for?

I have a fuel gauge 640763 which I got from you. Will it work on a positive earth electrical system

They were all originally negative ground. You would have to test it on a meter to see by itself if it does.

what is the ohms range.. ? I need to know that to ensure it is compatible with a sender i also need to buy .. best would be 73 ohms empty and 10 ohms full .. but if i know what it is .. i may be able to also buy a compatible sending unit. please advise

I purchased the 640763 fuel gauge for my 52 CJ3A it reads fine with the engine not running but when you start the engine the reading goes up I have tried grounding it and it didnt help the original gauge worked fine but jooked bad any ideas on what to do know ? Brent

I received the gauge and the wiring terminals are + , - , and S. I understand the + & - but would like confirmation that the S terminal is for the lead from the sending unit.
