Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Really if your threaded style you have to stick with it. If unthreaded style you have to stay with that.

I broke the end off of the grease fitting and am not abe to find one that fits. They seem to be a pipe thread. Went to a local nut & bolt store they said it's a 3/8 pipe thread but can't get over half a thread. What comes with the kit thread right in to the bottom and no resistance like they are not tapped for pipe thread. tryed 3/8 and 10 mil. streight thread and the same thing. Any ideas ??

I purchased these for my 70 CJ5. Do I take out the rubber bushings and use the brass one that come in the kit? Or did I order the wrong thing
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
You would just use the bushings with the shackle. Please email mike@kaiserwillys.com if you have any questions. Thanks!

My M38A1 had no suspension on it when I got it, so I have nothing to base my purchases upon. Do these require springs that have no bushings in them? Or springs with a specific bushing already installed?
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
928764 would be the proper shackle for your M38A1. It comes with bushings complete.
