What lubrication is used on the felt pads ??? Why 2 springs ??? I only show 1 used in the Z rod. Thanks
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
We use heavy duty axle grease. Really it is only 1 spring. We usually try to get an extra on the other side for tighter tension on the linkage.

Is this kit used on a 1951 pickup. The clutch release bellcrank is to short. Is there another kit for the pickup. Thanks
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
No, this kit is not for the Willys Truck. Some of the items will work but some will not. If you have a a 4 cylinder then this is the correct bellcrank - 642952. If you have a 6 cylinder then this is the correct numbers - 923132. Thanks

Would the seat frame bottom metal pan be needed with these or does the plywood do the job?
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
We can do it complete with the plywood pan and then the metal pan would not be needed.

When I took my cluth bellcrank apart there was only one spring, no felt, disks or seals. My question is why is there two of everything in the kit I bought? do both sides need the felt, spring and disc? or just the long side? Thanks
Willys Tech:
Some take 2 springs some only take 1. We provide extra hardware. You for sure want to have the felt on both sides.

I have a 53 cj3b, do you use both springs on both ends of the bell crank it seems like there is room only on the one end, the cotter pin holes are not the same distance on both ends?
Willys Tech:
On alot of vehicles only 1 spring is needed for tension.

I bought this kit. It has two loose pivot balls included - one is black anodized and the other is plated. Which is the inner and which is the outer?? Thanks, Jeff
Willys Tech:
Part number: A181 is the inner & A179 is the outer (the one with the bracket).

I have a CJ-3a frame with a T-90c-148B (the markings on its side). When I put a new cross tube on the pivots don't line up. Should I be putting the engine in first , then aligning the cross tube. Also the clutch cable is very close to the trans, do I have the cross tube in the wrong way?
Willys Tech:
Sounds like you have it in the wrong way. I would take another look at it and adjust your clevis as well.
