my jeep is a 1951 willys --can't find which model it is--my gas cap on the under-neath side from tab to tab is 2 1/8 inches. I am assuming this gas cap will fit-do you agree. Thank you, John

Gas cap part #908593. What is the distance between the two prongs that hold the cap on to the tank? I have a plastic after-market tank and I need it to be 2 1/4 inches.

My current cap measures 1.75 between tangs. Believe 2 is required or it slides around on the tank and seems to leak. Could you get that distance before i order? Thanks

Yes these are 2 between outside tangs or tabs just like original. The overall diameter of the cap is: 2-3/4 just like original.

Does this cap have a rubber seal so does not leak? My original cap leaks when jeep is tipped to that side.
