Questions & Answers
My CJ3B has a cable just below the clutch release cable with a ball end attached to a forked fitting on the transmission crossmember and a threaded end going forward that is hanging loose. Is this an engine stay cable and what does the threaded end attach to?
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Sounds like a stay cable but that is usually on opposite side of engine. Prob your hand brake cable. Please email mike@kaiserwillys.com

Is the engine stay cable ised on a 1948 cj2a? If so where is it located on the motor. I can't find where.
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, you should have a spot for it on the lower passenger side and a slot on your cross member.
