Does this cable have a friction lock to over come any spring pressure from the throttle return spring. Someone on YouTube said that he bought a throttle cable with a friction lock from Kaiser Willys in 2014. The one that I bought (not from you) does not. Thanks!

You typically twist it a bit to push it in or out. It stays put in the resting position.

How does this throttle cable attach to the carb? My 2A has the base of this piece but the rest is missing including, apparently, the carb linkage connection.

Yes, you should have a bracket and wire stop for it to attach directly to your carburetor throttle.

My throttle cable is missing and my throttle is connected with a coat hanger wire. I have not seen in any book how the throttle cable, choke, and throttle linkage are connected- do you have any detailed pictures?
