hello, i have a jeep willys 1962 station wagoon, does the carburetor fits in my 6-230 tornado engine?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
It is different for the 6-230 OHC.

I have 1 of these carburetors on my 60 Willys Truck that I purchased not to long ago and have not used the vehicle and having problems with it can you provide me with a master rebuilding kit for this unit?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Give us a call and we should be able to help you out with that.

What air filter can I order that will fit the carburetor?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
647789

I Have a 1956 4x4 Willis truck with a 6226 engine I have no carburetor on it . what go on it a 2 barrel or a one barrel carburetor.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
This would be the only option we would have for you.

What fuel pressure will this carb be happy with?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
You would be ideally looking for between 2-4 PSI.

DO I USE ORIGINAL INTAKE? DO YOU HAVE A NON OIL AIR CLEANER ASSY ?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, it takes original intake for your 226.

Hello, do you all have a rebuild kit for this carb?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
We should be able to get a kit for it. Email mike@kaiserwillys.com

For 1958 Station Wagon 6-226; does this come with manifold gasket? My linkage is original and old. Do you have new linkage parts if needed? Is this carb complete ready to install? Does this new carb require a "core" for purchase?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, it comes complete with gasket and is ready for install with original linkage.

Mike, Does the carb come with a specification and adjustment sheet? Thanks, John

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, and we can provide as well separately.

Mike, If I were to change out to the Universal Carb on my 1963 Willys Truck Hurricane 226 engine, what linkage change would be necessary and would I keep the current oil bath air-cleaner or would that also need to be replaced? What other parts would be necessary? Thanks, John

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Your original linkage will still work and the oil bath air cleaner too.

Mike -- I have misplaced the tune up spec's for this carb and cannot find them on your site. Could you shoot me a copy or post the spec's on site. Thanks.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Please email mike@kaiserwillys.com and we can scan them in and email them over to you.

Will this universal fit the 6-230, I am guessing it would be the same as the 6-226 but not positive. Thanks

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Please email mike@kaiserwillys.com to confirm your mounting spacing and we can make sure for you.

The intake on the Jeep L226 "Super Hurricane" (project) I'm looking at has a 4 bolt mount for the carb on the intake. Am I missing something? Does this bolt on diagonally? It doesn't look like the linkage would work that way unless the crab body could be twisted.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
The 6-226 took either a single barrel YF 2467 or dual barrel WCD carburetor. Please email mike@kaiserwillys.com or call us toll free. Ask for Mike M. Happy to help out.

I am going to use an F head in my 1946 CJ2A will this carb work and clear the hood? Or what would you recommend?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
This is for the 6-226 motor only. If you use that motor in your Willys CJ-2A, you may have to cut a hole in your hood to clear the carb...

Will this work on at 230 tornado

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Sorry this is for the 6-226 motor only.

The original air filter for the Carter YF also fits in this carburator ?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
The filter didn't attach direct of the YF 2467. It will accept the original air horn and hose though.

This carburator fits with al the levers for the Carter YF ?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
This is a replacement carburetor that will work with original linkage. Thanks!

Being modern carbs, are these less prone to failure secondary to ethanol in the gas? My truck sits a lot and it seems that I'm having to rebuild the carb frequently.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
You never want to use fuel with ethanol in it because they absorb moisture. These will run modern fuel though no problem.

so whats the difference between this one and the stock one?is this one a 1 barrel still?how is it better?thanks

Willys Tech:
This is a new carburetor that is aftermarket. The other would be an original rebuild.

I guess this is only for the single barrel intake manifolds?

Willys Tech:
Yes that is correct. Single Barrel.

will it fit fc 170 with original engine? is it a manual choke ?

Willys Tech:
I have not tried these on the FC vehicles. Im sure it would work though.
