I have a 52 Willys PU. about six years ago, before I owned it, a new ring gear was installed. I have counted the teeth--118. Will this starter or any of the starters you carry work with my PU?
Willys Tech:
You probably have a 124 tooth ring gear on there and just miscounted. Please call us toll free. We can help you out on it.

If I purchased the 12 volt alternator you have listed for my 1948 Jeepster-do I also need to purchase the 12 volt starter for the starting and charging systems to all work together correctly? Anything else that would need to be purchased?
Willys Tech:
Your 6 volt is ok, but will be slow cranking. This starter is hi-torque gear reduction. I really recommend it. If you are going from 6 volt to 12 you need to get the regulator (923130) and coil (933160)
