I have the MZ-4113 starter for my 1948 Willy Jeep CJ2A. It is 6 Volt. The starter has 9 teeth on the gear. How many teeth on this starter? Will it work on my 1948 Jeep?

How do you wire this new OEM starter. Does it still use the floor switch ?

They are wired like original to your floor switch. But you could also probably wire direct to your ignition switch if you have an aftermarket one.

Is there a difference in 9 tooth and 10 tooth gears on the bendix? Which is the product that you are offering?

My 6 volt starter barely turns the engine . One revolution then stop , another revolution then stop ....It will eventually start esp . when cold. I warmed it up good today and then the starter barley turned ... Is this common with 6 volt starters or do I need a new one?.... The battery is new ...
