Is there an alternative electrical starter motor for a 24V M38A1 that can be used with the keyed ignition switch in place of this mechanically activated starter motor?

My 52 M38a1 has an L head in it right now. I will eventually replace with an F head (when you get them back in stock). I am converting back to 24v now. Will this fit the L head for now? Both engines have the same lower end, don't they?

This starter above is your best bet. It is a hi-torque and brand new. You are stuck with a foot start. Getting rid of it would lower the value of your vehicle.

Can this type of starter be used on a Willys CJ3A/M38 using a flywheel with 124 teeth? Type M38. If not can the bendix be replaced by one used on the CJ3A / M38?
