Does it matter if one side is a Rzeepa and the other side a U joint type? or should they both be the same make? Thanks
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
We do see it alot but I would always recommend having the same on both sides.

My 48 CJ-2A has the Rezeppa style joints, is there a repair kit for them or is the only option replacement.
Willys Tech:
This is your best option on this. There really are no repair kits available.

Can you tell me which axle shaft is stronger, the U-joint style or the Rezeppa? Also, which is more prone to faliure associated with driving the vehicle every day? If I'm going to replace them, I might as well buy the strongest and most durable.
Willys Tech:
The Rezeppa is the original style while the Spicer joint shafts are the later style. Really both are going to be good. If you are looking to go heavy offroading you may want to go to the later style.
