I have 64 willys fleet van and I need a speedometer cable 99 to 100 inch long. Your 643797-VJ looks right but is it the right length.
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
The fleet van is a hard vehicle on the speedometer cable. you would almost have to have one custom made. This really is only for the vehicles we list.

I have a 1961 Willys Station Wagon, 2WD. I'm trying to keep the drivetrain as original as possible. So far, so good! It's got a newly rebuilt 226 Super Hurricane engine. The transmission has these numbers: T86-E W G DIV N7 This Speedo gear LOOKS correct. Could you tell me for sure if it would fit my vehicle? Thanks! Dan

Does this need to be lubed? If so, what to use? I installed new complete unit without lubing it and speedometer spins erratically. I did test the speedometer with cordless drill and it works fine. The little gear in the transmission end looks good.(not worn or chipped) What else can I check before disassembling the cable .

I do believe the book calls for light duty oil to be used. I will double check. Thanks!

I would like to know the overall length of this cable. I am working on a Kaiser car that uses a cable exactly like this one but I just want to verify. Mine is about 72. Thanks.
