Will the 931460 work with a Autolite MDM-6005 ? Not sure if I need one, but bendix seems to be locked in engage position. Will engine throw it back into disengage one one it’s running ?

My CJ3B starter made a nasty crack on startup, and that's all she wrote. Just spins now, and I suspect the Bendix. My Willys is mostly stock and runs the 124 F-head, but has a 12V conversion and key start mod, both from a previous owner. Starter is an Autolite, adn looks original. Is this part my best bet, or should I be looking at your "hi-torque" jobbie? Thanks!
