A quick drying alkyd synthetic enamel for metal surfaces.  Recommended for military vehicles, equipment and machinery.

Notes:
Thinning paint or primer reduse 10% or less.  We recommend XYLENE, XYLOL, or SYNTHETIC ENAMEL REDUCER.  They can be purchased at your local hardware store, home improvement, automotive paint supplier or Grainger.

If you have a Gallon of paint or primer that has set for some time, you will need to scrape the bottom of the can and put it on an paint agitator for 10 minutes.

Can I apply a wax to this paint?

Im sure you could, but they didnt originally or use clear coat.

How many gallons does it take to paint a CJ5, inside and out?

Most people get 2 just to have extra but 1 would probably do it.

I am planning on adding hardener to this pain, what is the correct ratio for this paint ?

They didn't originally use a hardener. I would more refer back to the instructions on the specific hardener you plan to use.

We typically wait 15-20 between coats depending on weather. 2 depending on job trying to do.

Should I use a clear coat for this paint? I will be using a primer and spraying it

They did not originally but you could if you want.

can this be rolled on or is it recommended to spray on

You could roll it on I imagine but a spray finish with any paint is the way to go.

Can I use Rustoleum Rust Restorer as the primer for this paint?

Any good automotive primer should work fine.

Can you add an enamel hardener to this paint?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, you can. It may change the shade of the paint a bit though.

Before I put order in with the flat olive Drab synthetic enamel paint, you have for metal surfaces, nose and firewall on my 58 CJ 5 is metal, tub is fiberglass, any problem or any special primer needed for the fiberglass tub Regards

I wouldnt think as long as you prime it properly.

Can I apply with brush and/or roller?

I would recommend spray if possible for a better finish.

hi, I own a Willys M38A1 from 1953. I would need 1 gallon of OLIVE DRAB GREEN SEMI GLOSS. I have a bit of difficulty in finding the right color here in Italy. why not shipped to Italy? and if a friend of mine in the USA buys paint, can he send it to me in Italy? if it is, how should it be done? must complete a form for customs. I would like to know how to do it. thank you regards

We can only ship paint to the 48 states. We can send you our paint samples if you like to Italy. You would have to arrange though to have the paint shipped to you on your end international.

Can this be used over bare metal ?? or should I prime first ???

You always should prep the metal and prime.

No, It does not.
